Day 157: The Washington

Mile 2154 to 2180

Hawkeye: “I think I've finally figured out the perfect trail mix. M&Ms, peanut M&Ms, and cranberries”.
Me: “What!? No nuts?”
Hawkeye: “Peanut M&Ms!”

My exact notes after a rough day: Late morning wake up.  Squirrels plinko’ing over our heads and making insane noises.  Crazy humid and walking into clouds.  We were both heavy on the podcasts/audiobooks today.  Hawkeye so tired he fell asleep during a five minute stop.  Was able to text with Liz for a bit.  Camps seeming to get more crowded, which is weird.  Hoping it will thin out again.  Terrain is quite interesting, jungly and crazy wet.  Met Gypsy Girl while camping, she fished in Alaska, interesting!

[But where does the electricity go?; slug times; Fern vs. Braken; Forest fire signs; spectac views; Hawkeye passing out; trail friends; pretty!]
