Day 94: Ghost Town

"I don't know what real cheese is anymore." -  Boom

We took a poll between the two of us to guess how many PCT hikers we would see yesterday. I guessed 4; Boom guessed 0. Hikers have been noticeably thinning out since Tuolumne Meadows. We wonder if it's because of the 4th of July. All we know is that it seems eerie. All day we saw only one other hiker: The Pensioner. At the very end of the day another couple passed us, and that was it! We filled the day with podcasts and discussed me taking a few days off in Tahoe while Boom "crushes" some miles. While this isn't the ideal situation (I'd like to hike every mile together), it seems to solve a number of problems. It alleviates some of my work anxiety and also brings up our daily average to reduce the pressure of big miles days.
