Day 167: Snoqualmie

Mile 2390 to 2400

We slept in like good thru hikers.  Unsurprisingly, it took forever to get out the door. Food, packing up our dry clothes, cleaning our cooking kit, making last minute adjustments, ditching bug spray, it takes ages to get us moving.

A couple pints of Ben and Jerry’s for breakfast along with a ton of great food picked up by parents didn't help either. We tried to figure out logistics for meeting up over the next week or two with the parents, but it's not looking great.  Stehekin, the last stop before Canada, can only be reached by 5 hour boat ride or sea plane.

[A little duct tape fix on the trash bag, it'll do!; simply fantastic views]

Eventually, we got on trail and after some pictures and huckleberry picking, started up the “most difficult” trail.   It was a big climb but had amazing views at the top.  I couldn’t stop taking pictures, and it delayed us. As usual when leaving town, we didn't make it in to camp until the sky was almost dark...oops!

Dinner/tent/ready all in perfect time for it to start raining again. Oh Washington!
