Mile 2446 to 2461
To town we go! We threw an extra few miles in each day so that we would have a shorter distance into Stevens Pass, our second-to-last town stop. We almost skipped lunch in our excitement to get clean and dry, but thought better of it and found a moderately flat spot to cook some oatmeal by the “Aquarius” blue diamond ski run.
My parents pulled up right as we arrived to the pass. Leavenworth is a really cool Bavarian town. To prove how cool it was, there was a giant knight outside our hotel window. The highlight of the night was Mom patching my incredibly holey shirt... it's like new!
